This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FollowBuddy mobile applications and web application (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Data: name and email address
Uploaded Content: Instagram follower lists or zip files that you voluntarily upload.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
Device Data: device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
Usage Data: date/time stamps, features used, crash logs, and diagnostics. We use first‑party analytics to improve stability and performance; no third‑party ad trackers are employed.
We do not collect precise geolocation, contact lists, or your Instagram login credentials.
How We Use Your Information
We process your information to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
Personalize your in‑app experience and generate follower/unfollower reports;
Send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, security alerts);
Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support;
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal data, show third‑party ads, or perform behavioral profiling.
Legal Bases for Processing (EU/EEA & UK Users)
We rely on:
Contractual necessity – to deliver the Service you request;

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to (i) fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, (ii) comply with legal obligations, or (iii) resolve disputes. Uploaded follower audits can be deleted manually in‑app; otherwise, they are purged after 24 months of inactivity.
Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including encryption in transit and at rest, least‑privilege access controls, and routine security audits. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us data, we will delete it promptly and disable the account.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The mobile apps do not use cookies. Our web app uses only essential, first‑party cookies for authentication and security. We do not employ third‑party advertising or cross‑site tracking cookies.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email or in‑app alert before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
